Vet Next Door Team
Drs. Zachary and Morgan Pearl are a husband-and-wife team of veterinarians with a combined 10 years of veterinary experience in companion animal medicine and surgery. They are graduates of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed their clinical rotations at Louisiana State University.
As active members of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Manatee County Veterinary Society, Drs. Zach and Morgan have developed a familiarity with the local veterinary community and the clients they serve.

Dr. Zachary Pearl
Dr. Zach grew up in South Florida. He spent his undergraduate years at Florida State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. Shortly afterwards, he ventured to the island of Grenada to attend veterinary school at St. George’s University. Dr. Zach has a special interest in preventative medicine and sincerely enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets through all their life stages. In his spare time, Dr.Zach plays drums in a reggae-rock band called “Foolish Relics”. He also enjoys scuba diving, homebrewing beer, and being a dad.

Dr. Morgan Pearl
Dr. Morgan grew up in Indianapolis, IN. She spent her undergraduate years at Saint Mary of the Woods College, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She also spent time working as a veterinary technician and volunteering at an animal shelter prior to being accepted into St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Morgan met her husband in veterinary school and they graduated together in 2016. Both Dr. Morgan and Dr. Zach practiced veterinary medicine in Ohio for a few years and moved to Florida after their first son was born. They practiced in Parrish for several years before deciding to open their own veterinary hospital. The Pearls now have two sons, Dylan and Silas. Dr. Morgan has a special interest in surgery and dentistry for companion animals. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her family, which includes two dogs (Goose and Willow), one cat (Azzy), and an Argentine Tegu (large lizard) named Malbec.

Mary Beth has been known to break out into dance, even though it’s not necessarily good!
“I believe developing good relationships starts at the front desk. It is important to me to help clients and their fur-babies feel comfortable and welcomed at our practice.”

Alina has had a passion for animals since she started volunteering at the animal shelter back in high school. Since then, she has immersed herself in the veterinary industry, having worked as a veterinary assistant, customer service representative, and practice manager. At home, Alina enjoys reading and spending time with her family, which includes a Parson Russel mix named “Mia” and an American Bulldog mix named “Cooper”.

Our medical team strives to provide excellent care, treating all pets with dignity and respect.

Stephanie
Stephanie is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). As the Veterinary Technician Supervisor at Vet Next Door, she supports our team with over 30 years of experience in veterinary practice. Stephanie is originally from California and spent the first 20 years of her career working in both general and specialty practice. She now lives in Florida with her husband and has a son and daughter who have left the nest to make waves of their own. Stephanie currently has 2 dogs, a female Maltese named “Tesla” and a male Shih Tzu named “Taz”. She has also owned several Quarter horses and is an excellent rider, having participated in barrel races and ranch sorting. We are proud to have Stephanie filling a leadership role for our team at Vet Next Door.

Gabi
Gabi has been in the veterinary field for 5 years. She is currently working towards finishing her bachelor’s degree and considering vet school in the future. Gabi loves animals so much that she filled her house with them. She has 11 pets: 2 dogs “Yobbo and Fry”, a cat “Gatosai”, 3 ferrets “Tomo, Tito, and Tula”, 2 birds “Frankie Valli and Mahina”, and 3 goldfish “Pierre, Bunny, and Big Chungus”. In her free time, Gabi enjoys watching movies, traveling, and building legos.

James
James has spent the last 4 years working in a number of veterinary fields including shelter, kennel, neurology, and general practice. His goal is to always provide the best experience in a veterinary setting for our patients and pet owners. Outside of the clinic, James enjoys cooking, traveling, watching football, and spending time with his family. He has 2 dogs, a Golden Retriever named “Cooper” and a Chihuahua named “Linda”. He also has 2 cats, a Manx named “George” and a Siamese named “Oliver”. Fun fact: James was born on a US naval base in Japan.
“I value patient care and advocate for all patients that come into the clinic. I think that includes formulating the best plan, keeping both the patient and owner’s best interests in mind.”

Rae
Rae has been in the field as a veterinary technician for a little over two years now. Working towards becoming a veterinarian herself, Rae loves to learn about veterinary medicine. A strong belief of hers is to always be growing. When she’s not spreading TLC to our patients, Rae is most likely outside doing whatever the mood calls for – kayaking, painting, reading, working with clay or trying to keep all of her plants alive. Rae is a mom to two tuxedo cat brothers named Kenai and Koda. Fun fact: She could eat ham and cheese croissants for the rest of her life and be perfectly content. She is also interested in helping with conservation efforts to save Honduran white bats and Red Pandas one day.
“If you’re the same person as you were a year ago, it’s time for some positive change. I believe in doing the best that you can each day, spreading knowledge and positivity to those around you!”
